The Dowell Family

familytractor.jpg

The Dowell family has been active in missions for over 30 years.  They founded Planting Hope International in 2011 with the mission of meeting agricultural, educational, and medical needs in developing countries.   Floyd has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering and is a retired research scientist and a collaborator at the USDA ARS Center for Grain and Animal Health Research.  Gayle has a B.S. in Mechanical Design Technology and is an artist, specializing in nature-inspired jewelry.

Mission Statement.  Planting Hope International provides appropriate technology and training to improve food production, education, and health, thereby improving food security and financial stability for families in developing countries. It provides the opportunity to show our faith through our works as we seek to minister to the sick, hungry, orphaned and widowed.

This charity depends on volunteers, and no one receives any financial compensation.
